- by train to Catania station

- by car, after crossing the Strait of Messina, take the A18 Messina-Catania motorway and then the fast-flowing SS417 Catania-Gela;
- by ferry from Salerno to Messina, take the A18 Messina-Catania motorway and then the fast-flowing SS417 Catania-Gela;
- by ferry from Genoa, or from Livorno, or from Civitavecchia, or from Naples, or from Salerno, or from Cagliari, in Palermo, take the A19 Palermo-Catania motorway, exit for Caltanissetta and head towards the fast-flowing SS626 Caltanissetta-Gela;
- by ferry from Civitavecchia, or from Naples, at Termini Imerese, take the A19 Palermo-Catania motorway, exit for Caltanissetta and head towards the fast-flowing SS626 Caltanissetta-Gela;
- by ferry from Malta to Pozzallo, take the E45 expressway to Ragusa-Comiso-Gela;
